Disability Advocacy in Easter Seals Thrive!

I am thrilled to share that Easter Seals has asked me to participate in Thrive, the charity's mentorship program, which helps young women with disabilities navigate issues in their transition into adulthood!

I wrote a blog post for Thrive about invisible disability advocacy and my experience with Dandy Walker syndrome and hydrocephalus. I started my web career by writing about my health experiences in this blog six years ago. The online disability community is incredible and I am so proud to share my voice here. Also, these conditions have poor awareness, so I am really happy to take this opportunity. Please read my post and let me know what you think!

I will also be a guest panelist on this week's Twitter chat. Use the hashtag #Thriveadvocacy this Thursday, March 26 at 3 pm EST to join me and my fantastic advocate co-panelists to discuss how we can use advocacy to foster accessibility and inclusion. I hope to see you there!
